How SmartParking Works
Industry-Specific Solutions

SmartParking Overview

It’s estimated that thirty percent of the traffic in a city is caused by people looking for parking. That’s a lot of unnecessary driving that has real costs and impact our daily lives, health, and finances.

To solve this problem, our solution provides you with SmartParking, an innovative telemetry-enabled parking management solution, helping municipalities and private parking operators to find, monitor, and maintain geographically distributed parking resources. SmartPark employs sensors to collect real-time parking data then sends that information via our SmartNetwork to the operations center. A linked application can then process raw data into useful information and distribute that information to our customers.

Parking sensors are self-powered, rugged, and completely wireless. Each sensor actually contains an array of different sensing components to collect data about individual parking space. Sensors can be installed in minutes to provide more than 10 years of continuous service without the need to change batteries.

SmartSpace can integrate new technology into existing parking management systems for quick improvements with minimal effort or retraining. At the same time, we provide a foundation of reliable data to completely update existing systems all at once or one piece at a time.
However you choose to modernize your operation, SmartSpace SmartParking solution ensures that you have the tools to meet the needs of your residents, visitors, businesses, and the environment, all while improving your bottom line.

All parking asset real-time statuses in one integrated system

SmartParking integrates an ultra-low power, wireless mesh network with a web-based service for parking management. SmartParking provides real-time parking occupancy and is fully interoperable with any payment system. Connected applications don't pinpoint individual spots that are unoccupied that might prompt drivers to race one another to open spots, with unsavory results. It is shown instead the general number of open spaces on each city block.
